Stop creating this perfect picture in your head and then getting upset when life doesn’t play out like it!

This is so true! In our minds we think okay I will be married by this time, have this many kids, my kids will go to this daycare and school, we will live in this house in this certain area,  we will vacation in Europe and Mexico, my job will be this and my husbands will be that, yadadadadada! We (especially girls) have grown up with these ideas in our head of how certain things should be. We also have these perfect pictures for small things like Christmas or our birthdays and then we are disappointed when they are over. We have built this all up in our minds of how it should go to be “perfect” so if the plan strays even just a little we are upset or even devastated. We need to stop creating these pictures in our head of this perfect plan. We need to accept things as they come and appreciate them for the way they are!

Live in the moment! Don’t make your house have a white picket fence around it to be happy! Maybe your perfect house doesn’t have a white picket fence at all!

  1. I know that this sounds a bit harsh, but I tell my kids not to expect anything, other than a roof over their heads and then they’ll never be disappointed. That didn’t sink in too well, as they complained when I forgot to pick up the newest xbox game for them. 🙂

  2. Life can be really simple, and Yes you are happier when you keep it that way. Just like being on the top of a hill looking down. Its quite, peaceful, and you feel full of life. Listen to nature and the stress is gone, your worries are gone.
