I know some of us HATE water! BUT we really, really need to learn to love it! It will eventually get better if you force yourself!
SO let’s try adding lemons, oranges, cucumbers, berries, melons, grapes, basil, limes, mint leaves, Thyme, Tarragon, Lavender, Rosemary, Lemon grass, Parsley and whatever else your creative mind can come up with! Try and experiment different ones! You never know! Stick with citrus type fruits though to get the best result! I wonder what pineapple, kiwi, or mango would do! I might try some and see!
I love adding lemons and oranges to mine! Russell likes the cucumber water but it is just okay to me!
Try it out this weekend! Get a pitcher and fill it with whatever your desire and let is sit a few hours in the fridge – usually overnight is the best! It really soaks up the flavors! Depending on how much I drink, how fast..sometimes I use the lemons and oranges twice. The flavor isn’t as strong the second time but I still can taste it and I am saving a little money! Make sure to squeeze or press the fruits/herbs a little so the juice will come out of them and mix with the water to get more flavor!
– fresh cucumber, sliced about half or whole if you want more cucumber flavor
– A handful of basil leaves (more or less depending on how much flavor of basil you like)
– 2-3 limes (limes), sliced + juice of 1/2 lime (if you like a lot of lime taste)
– cold water (still is fine to sit however long but if you like sparkling you may want to make it by the glass instead of the pitcher so you don’t lose some of the carbonation sitting in the fridge)
Make by the pitcher – adjust the flavors to fit your taste, add more or less – let sit for a few hours in the fridge to get those most flavor packed water.
